About the carrier

SWISS flies from its Zurich hub, and is in the middle of its biggest-ever cabin upgrade: SWISS Senses — the same concept as Lufthansa's Allegris — a new First Class of private suites (including a double suite for two) and a new Business of sliding-door suites with a choice of seat types. It has just begun flying on the airline's new A350s, with more arriving through 2026, while the 777-300ER fleet carries SWISS's existing and highly regarded First Class. On the ground, Zurich's SWISS First experience is among the best in the world. The new cabins are still rare, so which aircraft you fly matters — and that is what we line up for you.

The Business product is in transition: the new SWISS Business (introduced 2024 on the A350-900) is the first SWISS Business with sliding privacy doors — 1-2-1, multiple seat configurations including 'Throne' single seats and 'Privacy Suite' centre pairs. The legacy 1-2-1 throne-style Business on the 777 is being progressively refit. Premium Economy was introduced in 2024 on the A350 fleet and is rolling out across selected 777s.

Where they shine

What we book them for.

01

SWISS First (777)

Eight seats only. Among the most consistent First products in Europe — the seat is wide, the crew is dedicated, the Davidoff cigar lounge at ZRH is the differentiator.

02

ZRH ground experience

Private check-in zone for First, dedicated lift to the First Lounge floor, à la carte dining, full bar, shower suites with day-beds, direct ramp transfer to the aircraft.

03

New Business with doors

The 2024 SWISS Business — sliding doors, multiple seat variants including singles ('Throne') and centre privacy pairs ('Privacy Suite'). Rolling A350 fleet first, then 777.

04

Lufthansa Group through-fares

Same Star Alliance/Senator privileges as LH, with the additional option of routing through ZRH (often better connection times and a much smaller airport than FRA/MUC).

SWISS pairs the new SWISS Senses suites — the same acclaimed concept as Lufthansa Allegris — with a First Class ground experience at Zurich that few airlines anywhere can match. Against Lufthansa the product is the same but the Zurich service is the differentiator; against British Airways, it is a more intimate, true First. The catch is that SWISS Senses is only just rolling out — a handful of A350s today — so the real value is in getting you onto one. Tell us your dates and we'll find it.

The take

Our honest read on SWISS

Where SWISS’s precision tells, and the details worth a call before you book.

  • The Zurich First experience is renowned SWISS’s ground service for First passengers is among the best in Europe — quietly excellent, in the Swiss way.
  • Existing First is already highly rated Even before Senses reaches the fleet, the 777-300ER First Class flying today is a genuinely strong product.
  • Eight seats become “five in one” in Business The Business Suite adapts — privacy mode, extra space, extra-long bed — to how you want to fly.
Good to know
  • Senses is very early It launched on a single A350 on Zurich–Boston in late 2025; more aircraft arrive through 2026, with the wider fleet retrofitted by around 2028. Which aircraft you get is the question — we confirm it.
  • Today’s First is on the 777-300ER If First is the brief, we route you onto the aircraft that carries it.
  • The new product reaches routes gradually A350, then A330 (from 2026), then 777 (from 2027) — we’ll tell you whether your dates catch SWISS Senses or the current cabin.

Before you ask

Questions we're asked about SWISS.

What is SWISS Senses?

SWISS Senses is the airline's new cabin concept — the same design as Lufthansa's Allegris — with a new First Class of enclosed suites — one of them a double for couples — and a new Business of sliding-door seats in several types, plus a signature scent and lighting. It has just begun flying.

Which SWISS flights have SWISS Senses and the new First?

Today it is on the airline's new A350s, which launched on Zurich-Boston, with more A350s and routes arriving through 2026. The 777-300ER fleet still flies SWISS's existing First Class. If you want the new suites, tell us your dates and we'll find an A350 that has them.

Is the new Business really several seats in one?

Yes — like Allegris, the SWISS Senses Business is one cabin with a range of seat types: door-equipped Business Suites, plus Privacy, Extra Space and Extra-Long-Bed seats. Tell us whether you want maximum privacy, a companion seat or the longest bed and we'll book the right one.

Can I fly SWISS Senses direct from the UK?

The new cabins fly on long-haul aircraft from Zurich, so from the UK you connect through Zurich. The short hop is in SWISS's short-haul Business; the new suites are the long-haul leg, which we route onto the right aircraft.

How much is SWISS First or Business from the UK?

Indicatively from £X,XXX return on the contracted trade fares we hold, including the connection from the UK. Tell us your dates and the exact figure follows the same hour.

What is the SWISS experience at Zurich?

Zurich is SWISS's home, with one of the world's best First Class ground experiences — dedicated First lounges and, for First passengers, private check-in and à la carte dining. We'll make sure your connection leaves time for it.
