About the carrier

Qatar Airways has, over a decade, made the case that the best premium product in the air does not need to be First Class. Qsuite — the carrier's flagship Business cabin — debuted in 2017 with a feature no Business product had ever shipped: a door. Adjacent suites can be converted into double-bed configurations for couples or four-seat conference layouts for families and small teams. It is, by industry consensus, the seat to beat.

First Class is held only on the A380 fleet (eight seats, 1-2-1, very large), which operates a limited number of routes. The transit story is the other reason Qatar dominates the long-haul-via-the-Gulf market: Hamad International is the easiest large airport in the world to connect through, and the Al Safwa First Class lounge — closer to a private members' club than an airline lounge — is open to First and qualifying oneworld Emerald passengers.

Al Safwa First Lounge

The quietest large lounge in the world. À la carte dining, private game room, prayer rooms, suite-style bedrooms with showers. Open to First and oneworld Emerald passengers.

Doha as a hub

Hamad is built for one-stop transfers — typically thirty minutes between flights, single concourse, minimal walking. The Garden lounge is a separate complex above the central piazza.

Each suite has a sliding door, a privacy partition that can lower between adjacent pairs to create a double-bed configuration, and full quad-suite arrangements for four passengers travelling together. Which Qatar Airways flights from the UK have Qsuite?

Most, but not all. The A350s from Heathrow and Gatwick carry Qsuite, as do many 777s; part of the 777 fleet still has the older Business seat, and the 787s on the regional UK routes (one Manchester rotation, plus Edinburgh and Birmingham) carry a standard or doored seat, not Qsuite. We confirm the aircraft on your exact departure before you book.

Does Qatar Airways fly First Class from London?

Only on the A380, which operates Heathrow twice daily through summer 2026 and daily thereafter — eight First seats and the onboard lounge. For the rest of the network Qsuite is the top cabin, and for most travellers it is the better product anyway.

Is Qsuite worth it over standard Business Class?

How does the connection in Doha work?

Can we stop over in Doha on the way?
